Product Information

Food ingredients can be classified into two categories: traditional food ingredients and non-traditional food ingredients. This term broadly refers to primary or secondary materials used in food processing and manufacturing that are not listed as food additives under the positive list system.

Although not considered food additives, these ingredients are still subject to regulation. They are included in a separate positive list and must comply with relevant national standards (CNS) or the List of Food Ingredients Permitted for Use in Foods.
